High School Heroes
Join the High School Heroes program and turn school pride into real-world action by helping save lives through blood donation. The High School Heroes program from Shepeard Community Blood Center empowers high school students to lead blood drives, recruit donors, earn recognition, and build a lasting culture of giving on campus.
Start your lifesaving journey early. You can begin donating blood at just 16 years old with a signed parental consent form and make an immediate impact on patients in your local community.
Alongside the Red Cord Program, Shepeard provides structured school-based recognition programs that celebrate student donors while helping ensure a steady supply of life-saving blood for local hospitals.

High School Heroes
The High School Heroes Program provides resources for your school by hosting blood drives during the school year. There is no limit to how many blood drives your school can host, and you can host a blood drive anytime during your school year.
All donors under the age of 17 must present a signed Parental Consent Form.

Red Cord Program
High school and college students can earn a Red Cord to wear at graduation by donating blood 3 times in a school year.
3 Donations | 9 Lives Saved | 1 Red Cord
